Essilor International is a France-based company that is engaged in the design, manufacture and customization of corrective lenses for glasses. The Company's flagship products include Varilux Physio, which is a progressive lens; Varilux Ipseo, which is a personalized progressive lens that adapts to specific head and eye movements; Airwear, which are polycarbonate lenses, and Crizal, which is an anti-reflection treatment for lenses. The Company also has partnerships with Nikon Corporation to offer thin and transparent high-tech lenses, and with Transitions Optical Inc to manufacture variable-tint lenses. Essilor International has plants and prescription laboratories in North America, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America and Europe. The Company's plants supply its subsidiaries with lenses that correspond to customer specifications. Essilor International is headquartered in Charenton-le-Pont, France.
