General Mills, Inc. is a manufacturer and marketer of branded, packaged, consumer foods and operates in the consumer foods industry. The Company has three operating segments: U.S Retail; International, and Bakeries and Foodservice. The U.S. Retail segment reflects business with a variety of grocery stores, mass merchandisers, club stores, specialty stores, and drug, dollar and discount chains operating throughout the United States. The International segment includes a retail business in Canada, which largely mirrors General Mills' U.S. Retail product mix, as well as retail and foodservice businesses in Europe, Latin America and the Asia/Pacific region. The Bakeries and Foodservice segment consists of products marketed throughout the United States and Canada to retail and wholesale bakeries, commercial and non-commercial foodservice distributors and operators, restaurants and convenience stores.
