The Hartford is organized into two major operations: Life and Property & Casualty. Life is organized into six operating segments: Retail Products Group (Retail), Retirement Plans, Institutional Solutions Group (Institutional), Individual Life, Group Benefits and International. Property & Casualty is organized into four operating segments: the underwriting segments of Business Insurance, Personal Lines, and Specialty Commercial (collectively Ongoing Operations), and the Other Operations segment.
