M&T Bank Corporation (M&T) is a bank holding company. At December 31, 2006, M&T had two wholly owned bank subsidiaries: M&T Bank and M&T Bank, National Association (M&T Bank, N.A.). The banks collectively offer a range of commercial banking, trust and investment services to their customers. M&T operates in five main segments: Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Discretionary Portfolio, Residential Mortgage Banking and Retail Banking, and a sixth segment known as All Other.
