Reynolds American Inc. (RAI) is primarily a holding company. RAI’s wholly owned operating subsidiaries include R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company (RJR Tobacco), Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company, Inc. (Santa Fe), Lane, Limited (Lane) and R. J. Reynolds Global Products, Inc. (GPI). R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company (RJR) is a wholly owned subsidiary of RAI, which wholly owns RJR Tobacco. In addition, RAI’s operating subsidiaries include the companies, collectively referred to as Conwood, owned by RAI’s subsidiary, Conwood Holdings, Inc. Conwood is engaged in the business of developing, manufacturing and marketing smokeless tobacco products.
