The Southern Company (Southern Company) owns all the common stock of Alabama Power Company (Alabama Power), Georgia Power Company (Georgia Power), Gulf Power Company (Gulf Power) and Mississippi Power Company (Mississippi Power), each of which is an operating public utility company. In addition, the Company owns all of the common stock of Southern Power Company (Southern Power), which is also an operating public utility company. Southern Power constructs, acquires and manages generation assets and sells electricity. Southern Company also owns all the common stock or membership interests of Southern Communications Services, Inc. (SouthernLINC Wireless), Southern Company Gas LLC (Southern Company Gas), Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. (Southern Nuclear), Southern Company Services, Inc. (SCS), Southern Telecom, Inc. (Southern Telecom), Southern Company Holdings, Inc. (Southern Holdings) and other direct and indirect subsidiaries.
