Indian rupee declined 46 paise, or 0.88%, to 52.99/53.00, as euro dropped against dollar to almost 1.30 levels, as Fitch downgraded Belgium and placed the ratings of Italy, Belgium, Ireland, Spain, Slovenia and Cyprus on credit negative watch on Friday, according to published reports, indicating that downgrades could be issued some time in the next three months. The agency made the move due to what it called the lack of "a comprehensive solution" to the Euro zone's debt dilemma, which has roiled markets around the world in recent months.
