NTPC Adds Another 490 MW For Commonwealth Games
(RTTNews) - State-run power producer NTPC said today that it has commissioned the unit 6 of its 490-MW Dadri thermal power project to provide power for the upcoming Common Wealth Games to be organized in Delhi in October 2010.
With the commissioning of this unit, the total installed capacity of NTPC group has now reached 32,194 MW, the company said in a statement. The Stage-I of this project was commissioned earlier by BHEL.
On the BSE, shares of NTPC are now trading at Rs.199.05, down 0.20% on a volume of 0.93 lakh shares.
