BNP Paribas Q2 Profit Up 31.2% - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - BNP Paribas (BNPQY.PK) reported second quarter net income attributable to equity holders of EUR 2.105 billion, up 31.2% from the same period last year, and down 7.8% from the first quarter 2010.
The Group posted revenues for the quarter increased 11.8% to EUR 11.17 billion, stable at constant scope and exchange rates compared to the second quarter 2009. BNP Paribas noted that the huge revenue growth in retail banking and the Investment Solutions' business units offset CIB's fall in revenues.
Gross operating income for the quarter was EUR 4.76 billion, up 14% from the comparable period a year earlier.
BNP Paribas noted that all the Group's operating divisions continued to pursue their business development and made a positive contribution to the Group's income.
