Australia Average Weekly Wages Rise In Q2
(RTTNews) - Overall average weekly wages in Australia increased in the June 2010 quarter by a seasonally adjusted 1.4 percent over the March quarter.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics also reported Thursday that for the year to the June 2010 quarter, average full time wages increased a seasonally adjusted 6.4 percent.
In trend terms, which further smooth the seasonally adjusted data, wages increased 1.4 percent on quarter and 6.2 percent on year.
Private sector wages increased 0.7 percent on quarter and 5.1 percent on year.
Public sector wages rose 0.9 percent on quarter and 5.9 percent. The figures are seasonally adjusted and include overtime pay.
