Australia Construction Work Increased In Q2
(RTTNews) - Completed construction work in Australia increased in the June 2010 quarter by a seasonally adjusted 3.5 percent compared to the March 2010 quarter, the Australia Bureau of Statistics reported on Wednesday.
Compared to one year earlier, total construction work rose 8.2 percent.
The Bureau said residential construction increased 7.7 percent on quarter and 13.8 percent on year.
Non-residential construction values rose 2.6 percent on quarter and 23.1 percent on year.
The seasonally adjusted estimate of engineering work done increased 1.5 percent from the March quarter.
