Johnson Service Group Slips To Six-month Loss - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Johnson Service Group Plc. (JSG.L), the textile services and facilities management Group, announced its interim results for the half year ended 30 June 2010, reporting that loss attributable to equity holders was GBP 1.6 million, compared to profit of GBP 3.9 million in the prior year period. On a per share basis, net loss was 0.7 pence, compared to profit of 1.5 pence last year.

Loss before taxation was GBP 2.2 million, compared to profit of GBP 5.9 million last year. Adjusted earnings per share increased to 1.8 pence from 1.4 pence last year.

Total revenue was GBP 113.0 million, down from GBP 117.1 million last year. Revenue, excluding costs recharged to customers, declined to GBP 109.8 million, from GBP 113.4 million in the prior year period.

The company announced an increased interim dividend of 0.27 pence is being proposed, compared to 0.25 pence paid last year. The interim dividend will be paid on 12 November 2010 to those Shareholders on the register of members on 15 October 2010.

The company expects Drycleaning profitability to improve significantly in the second half. The company said that overall it is confident that it will perform well in the second half.
