Route1 Reveals Allowance Of Its U.S. Patent Application For MobiNET - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Route1 Inc. (ROI.V) said Wednesday that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has allowed the company's patent application titled, "System and Method for Accessing Host Computer via Remote Computer." Route1 expects it to be issued later this year.

The patent application was originally filed on September 7, 2004.

This will be Route1's second patent issued by the United States Patent Office. Route1's first patent, U.S. Patent 7,739,726, issued on June 15 is titled, "Portable Device for Accessing Host Computer via Remote Computer."

Tony Busseri, President and CEO of Route1, said, "Our first patent covers our MobiKEY device that is used to enable any computer to remotely access their files on a host computer. Our second forthcoming patent covers our MobiNET controller that sets up the connection between a remote computer and a host computer."

Route1 shares are currently trading at C$0.17, up C$0.01 or 6.25%.
