Nakoda Plans Green Energy Investment In Madhya Pradesh

(RTTNews) - Nakoda Ltd. said it was planning to acquire Wind Mills from Global Wind Power Ltd., or GWPL, a company floated by Reliance ADAG Group for Rs.32.92 crore. Of this, Rs.23 crore would be from debt and the balance will funded from internal resources.

The wind turbines are developed by CWPL, with state-of-art technology in collaboration with Norwin Denmark.

The Wind Power Plant will be set up at Jethana, Ratlam District, Madhya Pradesh, and will have 7 turbines with a capacity of 750 KW each aggregating to 5.25 MW.

The company said it would enter into a power purchase agreement with Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board to supply around 112 lakh units per annum at the rate of Rs.4.35 per unit for 13 year. The investment will have positive impact on the balance of Nakoda, it said.

After commissioning of the new machines, Nakoda's wind power capacity will increased to 12 MW from the present 6.75 MW, it added.

At the BSE, Nakoda closed Thursday's trading at Rs.13.69, up by 3.63% from the previous close.
