Arbor Memorial Services Q3 Profit Rises; Declares Dividend - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Arbor Memorial Services Inc. (ABO_A.TO) reported an increase in third-quarter earnings. For the quarter, net income was C$6.4 million or C$0.61 per share, compared with C$5.6 million or C$0.52 per share in the same quarter last year.

The improvement was primarily due to an increase in EBIT of $0.7 million or 8.3% and a lower loss from discontinued operations of $0.3 million or 93.5%, which were partially offset by higher income taxes of $0.3 million or 11.9%.

Revenue for the quarter increased to C$81.0 million from C$61.7 million in the prior year period.

In a separate press release, the company announced that the Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of C$0.11 per share. The quarterly dividend will be paid on September 30, 2010 to shareholders of Class A and B shares of record as at September 16, 2010.
