Garda World Security Q2 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Security and risk consulting firm Garda World Security Corp. (GW.TO) Thursday reported a higher profit for the second quarter, helped mainly by organic growth in revenues.

Net income for the quarter increased to C$5.30 million or C$0.17 per share from C$4.04 million or C$0.13 per share last year.

Revenues improved to C$280 million from C$273.02 million in the comparable quarter a year ago. The decline of the US dollar has decreased the revenues by C$12.2 million, the company said.

At constant exchange rate, revenue increased by 7.5% or C$19.2 million.
