Canadian Orebodies has closed the final tranche of its non-brokered private placement, for gross proceeds of $1,000,000 through the sale of 5,000,000 flow-through units at $0.20 per flow-through unit.

Shoreline closed its previously announced public offering of 9.25% convertible unsecured subordinated debentures, for gross proceeds of $17.0 million. The net proceeds will be used to reduce bank indebtedness, and accelerate the Company’s oil development program in the Peace River Arch area of northwest Alberta.

iSIGN and Chinney Alliance Engineering have signed a letter of intent (LOI), whereby Chinney would become iSIGN’s licensed partner, reseller, and a technology provider of iSIGN’s products and software to Chinney’s existing and prospective customers. The area covered would include mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, including exclusively for four of Asia’s top convenience store chains (7/11, Family Mart, Lawson, and Circle K), totalling about 39,000 outlets

Microbix has been notified by the United States Patent Office of the publication of the Company’s latest patent application. The application relates to the continuing development of LumiSort® and the Company’s intellectual property portfolio. The application will now undergo examination in the patent offices of the U.S. and key countries where LumiSort® will be marketed. LumiSort® is a next-generation instrument-based technology for the preparation of sex-selected sperm-cell preparations (for food animals, equine and other selected species).

Stornoway has completed public hearings on its Renard diamond project in the James Bay region of north-central Quebec, held by the Review Committee established under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement. The hearings took place in Chibougamau and Mistissini on August 28 and 29, and are expected to be the final round of public consultation prior to the determination of the project’s eligibility to receive its global Certificate of Authorization.
