Economic Calendar for March 18-26, 2010

Other important UK data still to be published this week includes the CBI Survey of Industrial Trends and Public Sector Borrowing. The latter will feed into budget speculation. The next batch of opinion polls will move the pound around and the currency market is clearly voting Tory. The pound has also got an additional boost today from the unemployment figures.
Europe may have a week of relative calm and the politicians will certainly be hoping so. No significant data is due.
More steady progress from USA Inc is on the cards but house sales are likely to remain subdued. Over $100bn of Treasury auctions are scheduled. Table 2:
