Civmec, in a joint venture with Sedgmen has been awarded a contract by BHP Billiton Iron Ore for civil, structural, mechanical. Piping, electrical and commissioning works at the Jimblebar mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning works which comprises of the installation of a new primary crusher and additional conveying capacity, will commence immediately with approximately 270 personnel employed on the project at its peak.
The joint venture, is a 50:50 unincorporated joint venture between Civmec Construction and Engineering and Sedman. Including the group’s share of this project, the group’s order book stands at circa $260 million.
