Rainbow Resources research and analysis
Rainbow Resources Inc. has completed its 15-hole Phase 1 drilling program at the Company’s flagship International silver property, part of the Big Strike project in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. Assays are pending.
The Company will continue to drill at Big Strike, shifting to the Gold Viking silver property this week, while the launch of a Phase 1 drilling program at the Jewel Ridge property in Nevada is expected by the end of the month. Jewel Ridge is part of the Battle Mountain-Eureka Trend
COMMENT: (1) Assays from the Phase 1 drilling at the International property are expected within the next two or three weeks. (2) Drilling at Gold Viking will focus on the central portion of the property, to depths of about 200 metres. (3) At Jewel Ridge, based on an initial review of some of the historical data, previous mining activities and other factors, it is believed that the property has potential to host a large mineralized system. The Phase 1 reverse circulation program at Jewel Ridge will focus on the past-producing Hamburg Pit area, 1,400 metres north of the former Windfall mine (Nevada’s first heap-leach operation), in the vicinity of the area where Greencastle Resources intersected 2.1 g/t Au over 39.6 metres near suface in 2004. (Greencastle Resources Ltd. was the previous owner of Jewel Ridge - see The Company section.)
UPDATE ON RECENTLY COMPLETED INTERNATIONAL DRILLING
The recently completed Phase 1 drilling program at Rainbow Resources’ flagship International silver property at Big Strike began in early August 2012. Phase 1 comprised a 15-hole shallow drill program.
Core is being now analyzed for silver/lead/zinc/gold (Ag, Pb, Zn, and Au) mineralization. The results (expected within the next two or three weeks), along with ongoing prospecting efforts, will guide the next stage of exploration at the 4,000-hectare property (previously undrilled).
THE COMPANY
Rainbow Resources Inc. is an exploration-stage company, exploring for precious metals in Canada and the USA.
A year ago, the Company purchased 100% of the outstanding shares of Braveheart Resources Canada Inc., whose main asset was the 100%-owned International silver claims near Duncan Lake in southeastern British Columbia, Canada.
The Company subsequently acquired other properties in the area, assembling a land package comprising 13,000 hectares and known as the Big Strike gold/silver project, with International as the flagship property. Gold Viking is one of eight properties in the Big Strike project.
In March 2012, Rainbow Resources added a Nevada property to its exploration portfolio. It entered into an agreement with Greencastle Resources. for exploration of Greencastle’s Jewel Ridge gold property near Eureka, Nevada. This property is at the south end of the Battle Mountain-Eureka Trend, and is along-strike and contiguous to Barrick Gold’s one-million oz. Archimedes/Ruby Hill gold mine (to the north), and Timberline Resources’ advanced-stage Lookout Mountain gold project (to the south).
