Sibirtelecom is the leading fixed-line telecommunications service provider in the Siberian region of Russia. Company operates in Siberia (30% of Russia’s territory and 14% of Russia’s population).

Sibirtelecom actively develops additional services, like broadband internet access and internet protocol television (IPTV).

Also sibirtelecom has very strong position in mobile sector. Analysts predict that by the end of 2007 mobile services will bring 30% of total company income.

Alfa Bank has assigned Sibirtelecom shares a ‘buy’ recommendation and a target price of $0.15 ($0.935 on September 19, 2007; 60.4% potential to grow).
