Land Securities is the United Kingdom-based Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) with a commercial property portfolio. The Company own and manage approximately 24 million square feet of commercial property and provide property services to private and public sector clients. The business operates across many sub-sectors of the retail market including shopping centres, factory outlets, retail parks and food stores and is also involved in ancillary uses to retail. The Company has alliances, including 50:50 joint venture partnership with Canary Wharf Group to develop 20 Fenchurch Street, EC3, alliance with Hammerson plc to develop a Martineau Galleries and Bristol’s city centre, a 50:50 joint venture with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board to own and develop Nova, Victoria, SW1 and other joint venture alliances with Frogmore Real Estate Partners, J Sainsbury, Delancey, Frogmore Real Estate Partners, British Land Plc and Cadillac Fairview.
