Indian stock market daily closing report (October 18, 2012)

Indian markets opened on a flat note today. The market experienced a smart rally in late morning trade lead by banking & realty stocks. Bharti Airtel & Idea ended in red today as the Telecom Commission announced that all spectrums given to operators in the 900-MHz band would be reframed to the 1,800-MHz band at the time of renewal of licenses.
The breadth of the market was positive in todays trade.
