Wednesday ones again turned out to be passive – the coming New Year makes its effect, along with the desire of the players for active moves getting lower day by day. During the day mixed dynamics was indicated on the share prices against the background of low turnover. Bank sector was among the outsiders this time – Sberbank and VTB lost 0.7% and 0.4% respectively. Demand remains in the shares of the telecommunications sector, which is exited about the reorganization of Svyazinvest. As a result by the end of the day the branch index added more than 4%. The commodity sector was trading within the positive zone against the background of price growth for metal and oil – the shares of oil-and-gas companies added from 0.1% to 0.9%. Aeroflot can be outlined among the chips of the second echelon against the output of the positive report for 9 months of 2009 by IAS. As a result the shares of the company added almost 9% at MICEX. The negative stats on the housing market of the U.S., output in the afternoon, has slightly spoilt the whole picture, however the close of the session still was within the positive values’ zone.

Estimation of the recovery cost of Sayano-Shushinskaya HEPS has been reduced from 40 bn RUR to more than 37 bn RUR.
 

Uralkaliy agreed on Chinese prices.

Byelorussian company (trader of Uralkaliy and Beloruskaliy at the foreign markets) signed a contract for supplying 1.2 mn tons of potassium chloride with Chinese Sinochem and CNAMPGC via the price of 350 USD per ton. The terms of the contract were expected. The contract is valid through January-December of 2010. The volume of supplies includes the option of 200 thousand tons of fertilizers.
