The FTSE 100 is called to open higher this morning on hopes that Europe's leaders will be able to find a solution to the ongoing euro zone debt situation. David Cameron is due to meet Nicolas Sarkozy today ahead of another France and German leaders meeting on Monday where the latter will discuss joint proposals which will then be put before the EU summit on 9 December. On the economic front today, investors will be focusing on the release of the UK construction PMI index followed at lunchtime by the US non-farm payrolls data. Commodity prices are mixed and on the foreign exchanges, the key currencies remain range bound.
