Regulated brokers do not guarantee the broker the safety of traders' funds. MF Global is a great example. Regulated or not, a trader's performance is highly dependent on the broker's services. When choosing a broker, you should not set one criterion but consider various aspects such as the trading platform, customer service, spreads, commissions, etc. A non-regulated broker that I have had good experience with is Coinexx. There are also some drawbacks, such as customer service needing to be more accessible on weekends and the inability to accept debit or credit card deposits.
