Ventas, Inc. is a real estate investment trust. The Trust has seniors housing and healthcare properties in the United States and Canada. The Trust, through its Lillibridge Healthcare Services, Inc. subsidiary and its ownership interest in PMB Real Estate Services LLC, provides MOB management, leasing, marketing, facility development and advisory services to hospitals and health systems in the United States. Its business segments include the triple-net leased properties segment, where it acquires and owns seniors housing and healthcare properties throughout the United States and leases those properties to healthcare operating companies under triple-net or absolute-net leases; the senior living operations segment, where it invests in seniors housing communities throughout the United States and Canada and engages independent operators, such as Atria and Sunrise, to manage those communities; and, MOB operations segment, where it acquires, owns, develops, leases, and manages MOBs.
